OUR STORY
Northern Paranormal Investigations was first established by Darryl Pearson and Nikki Peterson in 2010 in the Vancouver region of BC, and over the years has become one of the oldest paranormal teams in BC, and has grown its membership to where in 2024 they welcomed Faculty X Investigations, a BC interior team founded by Kay Thornton in 2018 into its paranormal family, expanding its focus to various regions throughout British Columbia, Canada. The two teams investigate claims related to hauntings, poltergeists, residual energy, and an array of paranormal or supernatural phenomena. Together, these teams excel in researching history and providing assistance to homeowners, business owners, government properties, historical sites, and others who seek answers to unexplained occurrences.

With a vast amount of knowledge and experience in the paranormal domain, they frequently appear in the media, host or participate in public events, and are widely regarded as the leading paranormal teams in British Columbia, specializing in investigation and research.
HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT THAN OTHER TEAMS?
In the vast world of paranormal research, Northern Paranormal and Faculty X Investigations are highly regarded for their reliability, commitment, professionalism, and extensive knowledge of historical research. Both teams are registered as non-profit organizations, and proudly belong to the TAPS Family. (The Atlantic Paranormal Society), a distinguished community of paranormal experts made famous by founders Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson from the popular television shows Ghost Hunters, and Ghost Nation. NPI & FX are two of the TAPS teams stationed across Canada, holding a unique position as the only TAPS teams located in western Canada within the beautiful province of British Columbia.
Becoming a member of the TAPS paranormal team is no simple feat. Aspiring members and teams must prove their commitment to the paranormal, and once accepted, they are held to strict standards of professionalism for themselves and their clients. The NPI & FX team takes great pride in maintaining these values at all times, solidifying their reputation as pioneers in the field and trustworthy allies in the realm of paranormal research and investigation.
